Dubai to Host Largest Global Gathering for Sports Sector in December

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, has announced plans to host the 'World Sports Summit' in Dubai from December 29 to 30. The summit is expected to be the largest global gathering of its kind, featuring participation from leading sports stars, experts, and decision-makers worldwide.

According to Emirates News Agency, the World Sports Summit will bring together top officials, coaches, specialists, and current and former sports stars to discuss the future of the sports sector. This unique gathering aims to harness new opportunities while addressing current and future challenges, ensuring that sport continues to play a vital role in unifying people, inspiring future generations, supporting the economy, and developing talent.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the summit's focus on both team and individual sports, exploring ways to support national teams and sports clubs to enhance their performance. The event will also highlight the role of educational institutions and sports academies in preparing talents of all ages across various sporting disciplines.

Organized by the Dubai Sports Council, the summit will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah and will feature a comprehensive program of panel discussions, keynote speeches, workshops, and meetings. Participants from various sporting bodies, teams, and federations will discuss the industry's future within economic, legislative, regulatory, and social frameworks.
