Bahrain Rejects Iran’s Statements as Unacceptable Interference

Manama: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its categorical rejection of the recent statements issued by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ministry stated that the Iranian statement constitutes blatant and unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, violating principles of sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs of other States. The Ministry emphasized that the Iranian allegations lack credibility and that attempts to portray Bahrain's sovereign and legal measures as human rights violations are seen as politicization and a deliberate misrepresentation of facts.

The Ministry noted that this behavior is a continuation of Iran's conduct over many decades, which undermines security and stability in the region. Such actions are in violation of international law and the principles of good neighborly relations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the necessity for Iran to adhere to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations. It called upon Iran to cease its escalatory policies and irresponsible statements, to respect the sovereignty of States, and to refrain from interfering in their internal affairs.
