Doha: The State of Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of the Iranian attack on a UAE tanker owned by ADNOC, which involved the use of two drones as the vessel traversed the Strait of Hormuz. Qatar has labeled the act a blatant violation of international law, principles of maritime freedom, and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement emphasizing Qatar's firm stance against the use of the Strait of Hormuz as a leverage tool. The Ministry called for the immediate and unconditional reopening of the Strait, highlighting the importance of preserving freedom of navigation in this crucial waterway as a non-negotiable principle.
