Sharjah Ruler Establishes New Board for Voluntary Work Award

Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an administrative decision to form the Board of Trustees for the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work. According to Emirates News Agency, the new board will be led by Mariam Majid Al Shamsi, who will serve as Chairperson, with Fatima Mousa Abdulrahman Al Blooshi appointed as Secretary-General. The board will also include members Dr Musabah Saeed Belajid Al Ketbi, Dr Saeed Sultan bin Dalmook, Humaid Ali Al Abbar Al Shamsi, Sultan Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayal, Ahmed Khalfan Al Fandi Al Shamsi, and Maryam Saeed Obaid Al Muhairi.

The decision outlines that the board will determine administrative roles among its members during its inaugural meeting. It has the authority to establish committees or working groups, comprising board members or other individuals, as necessary to fulfill its responsibilities. The board's membership term is set for three years, with the possibility of renewal for additional terms of the same duration, commencing from the date of its formation. Upon expiration of its term, the board will continue its functions until a new board is constituted, with the opportunity for reappointment of outgoing members.
