New York:The United Arab Emirates' delegation actively participated in several important high-level meetings during the third day of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
According to Emirates News Agency , Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, engaged in discussions with Alexander Stubb, President of Finland, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in energy, renewables, and advanced technology.
Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, attended the 8th European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM Council), emphasizing the importance of strategic economic partnerships between Africa and the Middle East. Dr. Al Zeyoudi also participated in an event hosted by the US-UAE Business Council, discussing the strength and future of US-UAE economic ties.
Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, and Dr. Maha Barakat, Assistant Minister for Health and Life Sciences, met with Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of the WHO, discussing global health priorities and the UAE's collaboration with the organization. They also attended the Future Health High-Level Dialogue, where the UAE committed to transitioning health systems from treatment to prevention.
Additionally, Al Sayegh, Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State, and Dr. Barakat co-chaired a roundtable on life sciences and pharmaceuticals to enhance healthcare innovation and pharmaceutical development.
Dr. Amna Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, addressed the High-Level Plenary Meeting on Sea Level Rise, reaffirming the UAE's commitment to climate action. Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, attended various sessions, including the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution and the OIC Annual Ministerial Coordination Meeting, emphasizing the UAE's dedication to peace in the Middle East and multilateral cooperation.
Saeed Al Hajeri also participated in the Annual Forum of Small States (FOSS) High-Level Week Reception, hosted by Singapore, reiterating the UAE's commitment to inclusive multilateralism.
