Dubai Culture Completes Austria Visit to Foster International Collaboration

Linz:Dubai: Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has successfully concluded its official visit to Austria, engaging in activities across Linz and Vienna. The visit aimed to foster knowledge exchange and international collaboration while integrating culture, the arts, and technology.

According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation, led by Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture, included key officials such as Shaima Rashed Al Suwaidi, Maitha Ali Al Blooshi, Ahlam Al Bannai, and Sara Al Pachachi. They focused on expanding international partnerships and creating opportunities for creative talent, thus advancing Dubai's role as a global cultural hub.

Hala Badri emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in creating opportunities and highlighted Dubai's commitment to international dialogue. The visit provided insights into how cultural institutions adapt to change and support talent growth, aligning with the Dubai Cultural Strategy 2033. This strategy seeks to build a competitive and sustainable cultural sector in Dubai.

In Linz, the delegation participated in the Ars Electronica Festival, exploring intersections of art, technology, and society. They gained insights into digital arts and emerging technologies at the Ars Electronica Centre. Dubai Culture also showcased its digital arts ecosystem and plans for the Museum of Digital Art, enhancing Dubai's global cultural innovation presence.

The Authority also prepared for the 31st International Symposium on Electronic/Emerging Art (ISEA2026 Dubai), set for November 2026. The event will gather global artists and researchers for dialogue and knowledge exchange across art, science, and technology.

In Vienna, the delegation explored museum and library management, performing arts, and cultural collection accessibility. The program focused on talent development and community engagement, offering insights for future initiatives in Dubai.
