Dubai:H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, witnessed the signing of an agreement to launch the Mohammed bin Rashid Master in Police and Security Leadership program. This agreement involves collaboration between the Dubai Police Academy, the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst, Georgetown University, the New York Police Department (NYPD), and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
According to Emirates News Agency, the program is designed to institutionalize the leadership philosophy of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It aims to cultivate future leaders equipped to drive decision-making and lead transformations in police and security sectors.
The agreement was signed during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, an event that gathers leaders from both government and private sectors to discuss leadership and management transformation. The program, spanning 12 months, includes 30 credit hours across eight modules, focusing on leadership, governance, strategic foresight, decision-making, and crisis management.
Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, emphasized that the program extends Dubai Police's commitment to developing leaders who can navigate challenges and drive future transformations. The curriculum integrates academic and practical frameworks, combining leadership philosophy with field experiences.
The program's international partnerships ensure a comprehensive learning experience. Applications for the program will open in October 2026, with classes set to begin on January 4, 2027, aligning with the anniversary of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's accession as Ruler of Dubai.
