Shenzhen:Dubai Dubai CommerCity (DCC), the MENA region's first free zone dedicated to e-commerce, has entered into a partnership with Tencent Cloud to enhance digital solutions and aid the digital transformation of businesses within the zone. This joint venture with Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Wasl Group aims to support the growing digital commerce sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed at Tencent's headquarters in Shenzhen during a visit by a Dubai CommerCity delegation led by Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity. The deal was finalized with Rachel Xie, General Manager of Tencent Cloud MENA, marking a significant step in providing advanced cloud and digital solutions to companies registered in DCC.

The collaboration will facilitate a range of joint initiatives, including events, exhibitions, hackathons, and workshops, aimed at promoting knowledge exchange and enhancing technology adoption. This partnership aligns with Dubai's strategic goals outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to double the city's economy by 2033 and establish it as a leading global economic hub.

Amna Lootah emphasized that partnering with global tech firms like Tencent Cloud is crucial for strengthening Dubai's digital commerce ecosystem. The collaboration aims to equip DCC companies with digital solutions that boost operational efficiency, foster innovation, and support market expansion. Rachel Xie echoed these sentiments, expressing excitement about bringing Tencent Cloud's technological capabilities closer to Dubai CommerCity businesses, thereby supporting their digital growth.

Tencent Cloud, known for its robust global infrastructure, offers a comprehensive suite of AI, cloud computing, networking, data, and security solutions. This agreement is part of DIEZ's broader strategy to enhance the competitiveness of its economic zones by ensuring access to cutting-edge technologies and international expertise.
