Washington:US President Donald Trump has signed an order to eliminate 50 percent tariffs on certain Canadian agricultural and forestry products, a decision that may provide relief to companies from the northern state.
According to Wam, the tariffs being lifted include those on plywood sheets, some paper products, specific machinery and refrigeration equipment, and packing crates and boxes, as well as fresh and dried seaweed.
The removal of these tariffs is set to take effect on October 30th. These tariffs were initially imposed by President Trump in August on $20 billion worth of Canadian imports.
