Sharjah:The ICESCO Regional Family Forum 2026 is set to commence on Wednesday in Sharjah. Organized by the Regional Office of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO) in Sharjah, the event will take place on October 28-29, 2026, at the office's headquarters in Sharjah's University City under the theme "The Family… A Balance That Shapes the Future."
According to Wam, the two-day forum aims to create a regional platform for families to engage directly in dialogue about contemporary challenges, inviting participation from experts and attendees from the United Arab Emirates and other nations, including Qatar, Jordan, Morocco, the Sultanate of Oman, and Kenya.
The program includes a mix of panel discussions, academic presentations, case studies, workshops, and interactive activities. These sessions are designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences among experts, institutions, researchers, families, and young people, addressing topics such as upbringing, values, intergenerational relationships, digital transformation, and more.
The forum intends to move beyond theoretical discussions, striving to convert dialogues and shared expertise into actionable recommendations and initiatives. This approach aims to foster cooperation among institutions involved in family, education, research, and community development sectors.
Salem Omar Salem, Regional Director of ICESCO in Sharjah, emphasized the forum's role as a genuine space for families to voice their challenges and engage in unified dialogue, leading to practical, actionable ideas.
