Abu Dhabi:Umm Al Emarat Park has been recognized as one of Abu Dhabi's premier cultural and community destinations, offering a range of activities that celebrate Emirati identity and showcase the capital's cultural openness and diversity.
According to Wam, the park has a history of more than four decades and reflects the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Its design combines traditional Islamic gardens with contemporary architecture, featuring landscaped green spaces and water features.
Emphasizing education through entertainment, the park provides interactive experiences that allow visitors to explore Emirati heritage and global cultures. Traditional falconry demonstrations and events marking national occasions, such as Eid Al Etihad and Emirati Women's Day, highlight Emirati values and identity.
During Ramadan 2026, the park hosted activities inspired by Emirati customs. In January, it collaborated with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood on the "Milsna" initiative. Upcoming events include a Guggenheim Abu Dhabi programme from 30th October to 1st November 2026 and the Children's Biennale from 6th November to 6th December 2026.
The park's international cultural initiatives feature the Korean Festival, offering performances and cultural workshops. Additionally, it will display contemporary art through the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award editions.
Through these efforts, Umm Al Emarat Park continues to enhance Abu Dhabi's cultural landscape, blending heritage preservation with artistic and educational experiences.
