New york: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Santiago Pe±a, President of the Republic of Paraguay, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA80) in New York. The meeting was also attended by Paraguay’s Foreign Minister Rub©n Ramrez Lezcano.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. They expressed their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Paraguay and its people.
President Pe±a reciprocated by sending his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, wishing the UAE and its people continued prosperity.
The discussions between the two leaders covered issues on the UN General Assembly’s agenda and explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and partnerships across sectors such as development, economy, and trade. These efforts aim to support the development priorities of both nations.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah praised the strengthening ties between the UAE and Paraguay, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to leveraging opportunities to expand cooperation in ways that benefit shared interests and advance prosperity for both countries. The meeting was also attended by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
