Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, in collaboration with Wajeb Voluntary Association, organised the Women's Community Responder Forum. The event was attended by Sheikha Aisha bint Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, alongside several businesswomen and female entrepreneurs from Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum aimed to attract and empower women to join the 'Community Responder' program, enhancing their preparedness to effectively manage emergency situations in various settings. The Authority reiterated its dedication to equipping and motivating women to respond swiftly and efficiently to emergencies. Key concepts discussed included safety in buildings, handling potential home risks, and raising awareness of prevention and safety procedures across vital facilities.
The Authority explained that these initiatives are designed to prepare skilled female cadres capable of supporting the community safety system and contributing to the protection of family and community members. This effort enhances the quality of life and promotes a safe and sustainable environment.
The forum featured a workshop on the essential role of safety guides in promoting preventive awareness and cultivating a culture of safety within the community. Participants received guidance on fire risks and methods of prevention, showcasing the combined efforts of official entities and community members in safeguarding lives and property.
