Abu Dhabi:The Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution is taking part in the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which is being held in the city until October 1. The delegation is composed of several members from the Public Prosecution.
According to Emirates News Agency, the participation in the Congress demonstrates efforts to stay abreast of judicial and international developments, ensuring an active presence on global platforms. The event serves as an opportunity to exchange expertise on best practices and improve judicial performance in alignment with the highest standards.
The Congress is themed "Accelerating crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law Protecting people and planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age." Public Prosecution members have attended specialized sessions and interactive workshops focusing on new approaches and mechanisms for tackling emerging crime patterns, combating transnational crime, and addressing fraud associated with rapid digital advancements.
Discussions at the sessions have also addressed practical frameworks for the responsible use of AI and modern technologies to enhance access to criminal justice and judicial efficiency. Additionally, the sessions have explored methods to deepen international judicial cooperation, bolster strategic partnerships, and exchange advanced judicial expertise in mutual legal assistance and law enforcement. These efforts aim to reinforce the justice system, protect society, and uphold rights.
