Ajman and Uganda Discuss Investment Opportunities for Economic Growth

Ajman: Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber, recently met with Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the UAE, to explore avenues for mutual investment, enhance economic relations, and boost bilateral trade between Ajman and Uganda.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place at the Ajman Chamber headquarters and included the participation of Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Ajman Chamber; Aisha Al Nuaimi, Director of the Investment and Business Promotion Department; and a delegation from the Ugandan Embassy. Al Muwaiji emphasized the chamber's dedication to fostering international cooperation to bolster economic and commercial connections, improve business conditions in Ajman, and attract investments across multiple sectors.

During the discussions, Al Muwaiji pointed out Uganda's agricultural potential and quality industries in food, textiles, and other sectors that could serve as a foundation for new partnerships. A detailed presentation was made regarding investment opportunities in Ajman, focusing on the emirate's strategic location, advanced infrastructure, ease of doing business, and well-integrated government services. It also highlighted promising sectors for investment, including industry, tourism, construction, real estate, education, health, and services.

The meeting concluded with a proposal to organize joint meetings between business owners and investors from both regions to facilitate knowledge exchange and explore potential collaborations. Ugandan investors were also encouraged to visit Ajman to explore investment opportunities in the Ajman Free Zone, Al Zorah area, and other significant sectors.

Kibedi expressed gratitude for the Ajman Chamber's initiatives to enhance economic partnerships and commended the emirate's competitive edge and appealing investment environment. He confirmed Uganda's willingness to expand cooperation in trade, industry, and services, and invited Ajman Chamber to join the UAE-Uganda Business Forum, which is set to take place in October in Kampala.
