Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF), through its Personnel Affairs Directorate / Mobilization Division alongside the People's Army, has issued new guidelines for male Jordanians regarding military service documents. Men between the ages of 18 and 40 are required to update their status and obtain a valid military service document to avoid travel delays. Meanwhile, men over 40 years must secure a certificate of exemption from military service. According to Jordan News Agency, the new regulations stipulate that all male Jordanians within the age bracket of 18 to 40 must visit the Personnel Affairs Directorate / Mobilization Division or any associated branches to ensure their military service documentation is current. This measure is aimed at preventing potential issues at border crossings or with other governmental procedures which require proof of military service status. For male citizens over the age of 40, a certificate of exemption is necessary to prove they have reached the legal age of com pletion for military service. This certificate is crucial for older citizens as it confirms their exemption from military duties. Individuals who have either lost this certificate or never obtained one can rectify their situation by visiting the Mobilization and Popular Army offices. However, unlike their younger counterparts, they are not mandated to present this certificate routinely. These updates from the JAF are part of ongoing efforts to streamline administrative processes and ensure all citizens are compliant with national military service laws. Male Jordanians are encouraged to adhere to these guidelines promptly to avoid any complications in their professional or personal travel plans.
