AMMAN: Minister of Social Development, Wafa Bani Mustafa, held discussions with the EU Ambassador to Amman, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, focusing on enhancing cooperation in social protection initiatives. According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry of Social Development issued a statement detailing the discussions, which included a review of the ministry's services and ongoing programs in collaboration with the European Union. A key topic was a project aimed at supporting social inclusion in Jordan, with the goal of establishing a sustainable social protection system and improving the technical capabilities of ministry workers. Bani Mustafa highlighted future projects related to the social protection sector in Jordan, which are slated for the coming years as part of the Jordan National Social Protection Strategy. She noted that efforts are already underway to update the strategy for 2026-2033, emphasizing that the revision process will involve consultations with various sectors. Chatzisavas expressed a ppreciation for the ministry's efforts, acknowledging the quality of services provided to the targeted social groups within the Kingdom. He reiterated the European Union's commitment to supporting Jordan's social protection sector.
