Brooge Petroleum and Honeywell Forge Agreement for Fujairah Gasoline Refinery


Fujairah: Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company (BPGIC), currently finalizing its merger with Gulf Navigation Holding listed on the Dubai Financial Market, has announced a strategic agreement with Honeywell. The agreement grants a license for the construction of Fujairah’s first refinery dedicated to producing high-quality gasoline.



According to Emirates News Agency, the signing took place during ADIPEC 2025, attended by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. The agreement includes obtaining the engineering design for the refinery, aligning with international standards and specifications. The project will begin with a production capacity of approximately 15,000 barrels per day, marking a significant milestone for Fujairah.



This initiative aims to position the UAE as a global hub for oil derivatives refining. Utilising Honeywell’s latest refining and processing technologies, the project promises operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. Sharif Al Olama, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, emphasized the agreement’s role in supporting the UAE’s industrial capabilities and energy market supply.



Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investments highlighted the refinery’s alignment with the UAE’s goals to expand petroleum industries and enhance local value. The project is expected to offer development opportunities in refining, operation, and maintenance, contributing to energy diversification, job creation, and export capabilities through Fujairah’s port and beyond.
