Abu dhabi: US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the redirection of several commercial vessels and the disabling of others as part of its ongoing naval blockade enforcing maritime restrictions on Iranian ports and coastal areas.
According to Emirates News Agency, CENTCOM stated that as of July 21, U.S. forces have redirected eight commercial vessels and disabled one to fully enforce the blockade. The blockade aims to limit Iran's maritime activities by controlling the movement of commercial vessels in the region.
The measures have been implemented to ensure that the naval blockade effectively restricts access to and from Iranian ports, which is part of broader efforts to apply pressure on Iran in the geopolitical landscape.
