Cooler Autumn Temperatures Sweep Across Kingdom

Amman: The Kingdom is set to experience a crisp autumn day today, with pleasant temperatures sweeping across most regions. According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Meteorological Department reports that while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will still enjoy warmer conditions under gentle northwesterly winds, a cooler shift is expected throughout the region. On Tuesday, temperatures are forecasted to drop significantly, marking a sharper decline that will bring an even more pronounced autumn chill, especially noticeable in the early morning hours. The expected temperature drop will be around 4-5 degrees Celsius below the seasonal average, adding a brisk feel to the air. Despite this cooler trend, the overall weather in the kingdom will remain mild and comfortable, with the warmer areas continuing to be the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. This pleasant autumn weather is anticipated to persist into Wednesday and Thursday, maintaining mild conditions across Jordan. Additionally, winds may pick up in the southern and eastern regions of the kingdom, bringing occasional gusts, particularly in the eastern areas. For today, specific temperature forecasts include East Amman ranging from a high of 24 C to a low of 12 C, while West Amman will see a daytime peak of 22 C, dropping to 10 C overnight. The northern highlands will experience similar conditions, with the Sharah mountains feeling slightly cooler. Desert regions are forecast to reach 27 C during the day, cooling to 11 C by night. Meanwhile, the northern Jordan Valley will warm to 31 C, with the southern valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba temperatures hovering between 31-33 C.
