Dubai: The National Youth Orchestra - Dubai (NYO Dubai), in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), has announced the launch of the Emirati Music Education Programme. This new initiative is aimed at identifying and nurturing young Emirati musicians, contributing to the cultural and creative landscape of the region.
According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative seeks to enhance the sustainability of the cultural sector while reinforcing Dubai's status as a global center for the creative economy. The programme, developed under the Dubai Cultural Grant, provides structured training in music history, theory, and classical performance practices for its participants.
The programme offers instruction in string and wind instruments, as well as choral and ensemble work. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend workshops conducted by NYO Dubai's faculty. Dubai Culture has extended an invitation to emerging Emirati talents to register for the programme through the website www.nyo.ae. Prospective participants will be required to undergo an admissions test to assess their musical proficiency before joining the programme.
