Dubai:The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has announced that the winners of the second edition of the Dubai Foresight Awards will be celebrated during Dubai Future Week. This event is set to occur from 18th to 21st November 2026 at Emirates Towers and the Museum of the Future.
According to Emirates News Agency, the theme for this year's awards is 'For the Human of the Future.' The awards honor global innovators, foresight pioneers, and visionaries, recognizing exceptional achievements and innovative approaches to shaping the future in three distinct categories. After a thorough evaluation process, nine projects have been shortlisted from hundreds of global submissions, with three winners to be chosen, one in each category Foresight Changemakers, Foresight for People, and Foresight for the Planet.
The Foresight Changemakers category acknowledges individuals and organizations that develop innovative frameworks and tools impacting future anticipation and understanding emerging changes. The Foresight for People category celebrates initiatives that convert future visions into tangible benefits for people, focusing on foresight tools in public policy and societal transformation. The Foresight for the Planet category highlights those applying foresight to environmental protection, biodiversity enhancement, and climate resilience.
Abdulaziz AlJaziri, Deputy CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, emphasized the significance of the Dubai Foresight Awards in recognizing innovators and role models whose work impacts lives and shapes future societies. He noted the awards' role in strengthening resilience and future readiness across social, economic, and government sectors.
The Dubai Foresight Awards also provide participants with a platform to showcase their projects to international experts and foresight professionals, fostering connections and potential partnerships in DFF's innovation ecosystem. Last year's winners included the Pasifika Futures Report team from Fiji, the City of Longevity initiative from the United Kingdom, and the Congo Basin Futures initiative from Cameroon and France, each recognized for their contributions to foresight and sustainability.
Dubai Future Week will offer a diverse program featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and more, across eight main platforms including The Big Stage and The Prototype Floor.
