Dubai:Dubai Municipality has announced the opening of registration for the sixth season of the Farmers' Market, aiming to provide Emirati farmers and local businesses with opportunities to showcase their products and sell directly to consumers.
According to Wam, the market is scheduled to run from 28th November 2026 to 31st January 2027 at Quranic Park in Al Khawaneej, operating every Saturday and Sunday. This new season will see the participation of 52 Emirati farmers and local businesses, marking a 24 percent increase compared to the previous season, which attracted 393,467 visitors.
The upcoming market will, for the first time, introduce 10 dedicated spaces for children under the "Young Farmers and Entrepreneurs" initiative. This initiative is designed to allow children to display and sell products while acquiring practical skills in agriculture and entrepreneurship.
Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahli, Director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the market's role as a community platform supporting Emirati farmers. He highlighted efforts to expand participation opportunities and introduce new experiences to promote locally grown produce and support the agricultural sector's development.
Dubai Municipality will provide participants with market stalls, logistical support, agricultural supplies, training courses, technical consultations, and workshops aimed at improving agricultural practices and production efficiency. The market will also offer recreational and educational activities for families and visitors to learn about local agriculture.
Emirati farmers, eligible home-based businesses, and agricultural product vendors are invited to register through the Dubai Municipality registration portal, where applications will be assessed based on participation criteria, quality standards, and sustainable local production requirements.
