AMMAN: Khaled Dughmi has officially taken office as the new president of the Legislation and Opinion Bureau (LOB), marking a significant leadership change. Dughmi was sworn in before Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan on Sunday, after a Royal decree confirmed the Cabinet's decision to appoint him to this position. According to Jordan News Agency, the ceremony was conducted in compliance with Article 24 of the Public Sector Human Resources Management Bylaw No. 33 of 2024, which mandates the legal oath. Abdullah Adwan, the Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs, was present at the swearing-in event, further signifying the importance of this administrative transition. The Legislation and Opinion Bureau plays a pivotal role in shaping legal frameworks and advising on legislative matters, making Dughmi's appointment a noteworthy development for the country's legal and governmental sectors.
