A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck the southern coast of Indonesia's Java Island today, with no reports of injuries. Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported that the earthquake occurred at 04:54 local time, with its epicentre located 94 kilometres southwest of Sukabumi in West Java province, at a depth of 65 kilometres beneath the Indian Ocean. The agency stated that no aftershocks were detected, but advised residents to avoid damaged or cracked buildings and inspect homes before re-entering. Source: Emirates News Agency
