Kinshasa: More than 900 Ebola cases, including 101 confirmed cases, have been identified in the Democratic Republic of Congo, WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Sunday. The outbreak continues to challenge health officials in the region.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Congolese ministry of communication, in a post on X on Sunday, reported that there were 904 suspected cases and 119 suspected deaths. The situation underscores the urgent need for effective interventions to control the spread of the virus and prevent further fatalities. Health authorities are working to implement strategies that will curb the transmission and provide adequate care to those affected. The international community remains on alert as efforts to contain the outbreak are intensified.
