Hamdan bin Mohammed Recognizes Global Prompt Engineering Championship Winners During Dubai AI Week


Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, today honoured the winners of the Global Prompt Engineering Championship 2025 during Dubai AI Week. The winners were recognized across four creative categories including Art, Video, Gaming, and Coding.



According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the emergence of artificial intelligence as a catalyst for new disciplines and professions, with prompt engineering being among the most sought-after skills. He remarked on the transformative impact AI will have on the future of creative and technological sectors as demonstrated during the championship.



H.H. further highlighted the importance of empowering talent with the necessary tools and skills to innovate and expand AI’s real-world applications for the benefit of humanity. He noted Dubai’s pioneering efforts in AI investment and its ongoing commitment to fostering a dynamic ecosystem that supports AI-driven innovation and development.



The awarding ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation.



Abdulrahman Al Marzooqi from the UAE won first place in the Coding category, while Syrian filmmaker Ibrahim Hajjo secured the Video category award. The Gaming category was claimed by Ibrahim Helmy from Canada, and Yahya Kaddoura from Palestine won the Art category.



The championship finals took place over two days at AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers. The winners received a portion of the AED1 million prize pool and gained international recognition and exposure to industry leaders.



Organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, an initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation, and supported by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, the championship attracted over 3,800 entries from 125 countries, with 24 finalists from 16 countries competing live in Dubai.
