Sharjah: Hansa Green Technology, a UAE-based manufacturer of LED lights, has announced plans to boost its production capacity in the Hamriyah Free Zone (HFZA) to over one million LED lighting fixtures annually and increase investments substantially. The company aims to meet rising demand for its products across the Gulf, Middle East, and Africa, reinforcing HFZA’s status as a prominent investment hub for regional and global business growth.
According to Emirates News Agency, Hansa Green Technology made the announcement during a visit by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of the free zone, to the company’s 86,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The visit included a tour of various production stages, where energy-efficient and sustainable LED lighting solutions are designed and manufactured. The delegation also inspected the company’s advanced laboratories equipped with cutting-edge technology to assess LED lamp efficiency.
During the visit, Saud Salim Al Mazrouei was briefed on the company’s short- and long-term expansion plans, which include penetrating the Gulf and Indian markets through innovative product launches and partnerships on government infrastructure projects. Discussions also covered the establishment of a manufacturing facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, set for 2025, as part of Hansa Green Technology’s expansion plans into the Middle East and Africa.
Al Mazrouei reviewed the upcoming product lineup, including advanced lighting solutions for industrial projects and infrastructure developments like street and railway lighting. Additionally, the factory will produce a range of fixtures for retail spaces, luxury villas, and commercial properties, including ceiling-mounted and spotlight designs.
Saud Salim Al Mazrouei emphasized that Hansa Green Technology’s decision to scale up production from the Hamriyah Free Zone underscores its position as a top investment destination for global companies. He noted that the authority aims to balance attracting new investments and developing existing ones by providing an enabling environment for successful investment projects.
He also highlighted that Hansa Green Technology’s focus on high-efficiency LED fixtures aligns with UAE’s sustainability initiatives, supporting energy efficiency, reducing operational costs for large projects, and contributing to environmental goals.
Krishna Pillai, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hansa Green Technology, stated that scaling up operations strengthens the company’s presence in regional and international markets. He emphasized the strategic location and competitive advantages offered by the Hamriyah Free Zone, enabling the company to reach a larger customer base efficiently and cost-effectively. Pillai also mentioned the company’s growing portfolio, with over 300 projects in 15 countries across various sectors.
