Dubai: Huawei, as the Lead Strategic Partner of GISEC Global 2026, is presenting its vision of Embedded Intelligence and Built-in Resilience at Expo City Dubai. The company is highlighting integrated security solutions that encompass cloud, computing, networks, and data, which are vital for secure digital transformation across critical sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, Huawei is demonstrating its AI-powered Xinghe AI Unified SASE solution, known for achieving a 95 percent detection rate for unknown threats. Additionally, the HiSec NG-SIEM solution is being showcased, enabling organizations to correlate attack chains, reduce unnecessary alerts, and automate incident response, effectively cutting response times to mere minutes.
Abdulaziz Al Sharhan Al Nuaimi, UAE Chief Security Officer at Huawei, is participating in a panel discussion addressing the global cybersecurity talent gap. The discussion focuses on the role of governments, technology companies, and academic institutions in preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. Al Nuaimi emphasized that GISEC Global serves as a strategic platform for government entities, technology leaders, and international experts to exchange expertise and build partnerships capable of addressing rapidly evolving cyber threats.
Al Nuaimi also highlighted the UAE's leadership in fostering a secure, resilient, and innovation-driven digital economy. He stressed that building cyber resilience requires investment not only in technology but also in people, emphasizing the importance of practical skills to keep pace with rapidly changing attack and defense techniques.
He further elaborated on the necessity of cooperation between governments, technology companies, and universities to expand the talent pool, provide hands-on training, professional certifications, and clear career pathways in cybersecurity. Huawei's participation also emphasizes embedding security and resilience into systems from the design stage, using AI to strengthen cybersecurity while ensuring the security of AI systems themselves.
Al Nuaimi pointed out that this approach supports secure digital transformation and fortifies the resilience of critical digital infrastructure. He added that Huawei's commitment is reflected in its continued investment in research and development, which reached around US$27.5 billion in 2025, equivalent to 21.8 percent of its revenue. Of this, about 5 percent is allocated to cybersecurity and privacy protection, amounting to approximately $10 billion over the past decade, with more than 3,800 specialists working in this field.
