Abu Dhabi:The city will host 'Investopia Bridge 2026' on 7th October, an event that brings together a diverse group of ministers, policymakers, investors, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators from the UAE and around the globe.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event will take place at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas on Saadiyat Island, themed 'Investing in a More Resilient World.' It aims to serve as a strategic precursor to the next flagship edition of Investopia in 2027.
The programme will explore various shifts that are reshaping the global economy and investment landscape. Key topics include economic resilience, the rise of new economy sectors, evolving capital strategies, and the impact of geopolitical and technological advancements.
The event will also spotlight UAE private-sector companies that have successfully established a global presence, emphasizing their experiences in penetrating new markets and forming investment partnerships.
Discussions will focus on attracting long-term capital, the significance of economic policies and international partnerships in bolstering resilience, opportunities for globally scalable companies, and identifying new sources of economic growth.
Sessions will delve into innovative financing, regional and global investment strategies, changing capital flows, the role of tourism in attracting investment and diversifying economies, and infrastructure needs for the AI economy.
The programme will underline the expanding influence of UAE-based investors who operate across multiple markets and asset classes, underscoring the country's role as both a destination and source of global capital and investment partnerships.
Prominent participants include Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Co-Chair of the Investopia Board of Trustees, Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment and Co-Chair of the Board, Adolfo Urso, Italy's Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade.
Additional attendees include Stephen Flynn, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Tourism and Transport in the Scottish Government, and Dame Susan Langley, Lady Mayor of the City of London, alongside government officials, investors, CEOs, and business leaders.
The event will concentrate on sectors driving the new economy, such as artificial intelligence, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, clean technologies, digital infrastructure, tourism and the experience economy, digital finance, venture capital, and digital investment assets.
'Investopia Bridge 2026' will also feature the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding between participating organizations and companies. A new group of entrepreneurs will be recognized under the 'Future 100' initiative, a collaborative national effort by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and the Office of Government Development and the Future, along with the signing of agreements and the launch of a report highlighting the initiative's key trends and outcomes.
