Israeli Airstrikes Escalate, Death Toll in Lebanon Reaches 2,546

BEIRUT: The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of Lebanon has reported a significant increase in casualties amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes, with the total number of fatalities reaching 2,546 and injuries totaling 11,862. The announcement comes as the conflict continues to intensify, impacting multiple regions across the country. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Tuesday's airstrikes resulted in 63 deaths and 234 injuries across different governorates. In South Lebanon, 24 individuals lost their lives, and 85 were injured due to the bombardments. The Nabatieh Governorate witnessed the deaths of three individuals and injuries to 21 others. In the Bekaa Governorate, seven individuals were killed and five injured, while Baalbek Hermel saw 11 fatalities and 63 injuries resulting from the airstrikes. Mount Lebanon also suffered significant casualties, with 18 deaths and 60 injuries reported. These figures highlight the extensive human cost of the ongoing conflict, as the death toll continues to rise amid escalating hostilities.
