Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported a significant rise in casualties due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, with 45 people dead and 179 wounded within a 24-hour period. According to Emirates News Agency, the latest figures released by the health ministry have escalated the total count to 2,412 fatalities and 11,285 injuries since the conflict's inception. The intensity of the airstrikes has been alarming, with the Lebanese National News Agency documenting 96 airstrikes in various regions of Lebanon in the last day alone. This brings the cumulative total to 10,246 airstrikes throughout the duration of the conflict. Dr. Nasser Yassin, the Coordinator of the Government Emergency Committee and Minister of Environment, highlighted the severe impact on the civilian population. He reported that 1,096 centers have been established to accommodate the displaced individuals, with 900 of these centers now operating at full capacity. The shelters currently house 190,882 registered displaced persons, signifying a large-scale humanitarian crisis. The continuous airstrikes and the resultant humanitarian issues underscore the escalating severity of the situation in Lebanon, demanding urgent attention from international communities.
