BEIRUT: The Lebanese Ministry of Health has reported a significant casualty toll due to Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, with 54 individuals killed and 258 wounded in the last 48 hours. This recent surge in violence adds to an already grim total of 2,309 fatalities and 10,782 injuries since the beginning of the conflict. According to Emirates News Agency, the Lebanese National News Agency provided further details from a report by the coordinator of the government's Emergency Committee, Environment Minister Dr. Nasser Yassin. The report documented 200 airstrikes across various regions of Lebanon during this period, pushing the total number of airstrikes to 9,866 since the onset of hostilities. Dr. Yassin highlighted the extensive displacement caused by the airstrikes, noting that 1,059 centers have been opened to accommodate displaced individuals. Of these, 876 have already reached their maximum capacity. Currently, 188,146 displaced individuals are registered in shelter centers throughout the country, reflecti ng the severe humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict.
