Israeli Airstrikes Target Multiple Locations in Southern Lebanon and Baalbek

NABATIEH: In a significant escalation of tensions, Israeli warplanes conducted multiple airstrikes across southern Lebanon and the Baalbek region today, targeting commercial, residential, and various strategic locations, resulting in widespread destruction. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the airstrikes began at approximately 4:45 pm, with the Jawad Qanso Center at the eastern entrance of the town of Doueir being hit and completely destroyed. The center, known for housing commercial stores and residential apartments, suffered extensive damage. Further reports from NNA correspondents in various towns detailed a series of aggressive airstrikes. Towns such as Jebchit, Ebba, and Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon faced similar fates, with significant damage reported. In Baalbek, the Fayda neighborhood was also targeted, notably affecting areas between the towns of Shaat and Younin. Additional strikes were recorded on the outskirts of Al-Qawzah and in the town of Marwaheen, east of Tyre. The scope o f today's airstrikes also expanded to the areas between Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Mayfadoun, and further to the outskirts of Naqoura, Jabal al-Labouneh, and Alma al-Shaab, which were accompanied by artillery shelling. The towns of al-Ghandouriyah and Froun were not spared, suffering raids later in the day. Moreover, the presence of hostile drones was reported flying at very low altitudes over regions such as Khiyam, Marjeyoun Plain, and Qlayaa, indicating a comprehensive aerial surveillance and strike strategy. This intense and widespread aerial assault marks a significant escalation in the region, affecting numerous civilians and disrupting daily life across multiple Lebanese towns.
