ERBIL: Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), Nizar Mheidat, actively participated in a significant conference titled "Health Services, Medicines and Medical Supplies Reforms and Health System Reform Strategy" held in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. According to Jordan News Agency, the conference was organized by the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region and featured extensive discussions on health care sector reforms, particularly focusing on medicines and medical supplies. It also marked the announcement of a new health system reform strategy, aimed at enhancing the overall health services in the region. Mheidat, representing Jordan, was part of the broader Jordanian delegation at the event. During his visit, Mheidat, along with other delegates, met with the Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Region, Saman Barzanji. They explored avenues for increased collaboration between Jordan and the Kurdistan Region, especially in the regulation and control of medications and medic al supplies. Additionally, Mheidat visited the Kurdistan Medical Control Agency (KMCA) and held discussions with its director, Shirwan Sadiq Barzani, to further discuss joint cooperation initiatives in the field of medicine control.
