Jordan Labor Minister and ILO Regional Director Focus on Employment Enhancement

Amman: Minister of Labor Khaled Bakkar and the Regional Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Ruba Jaradat, convened on Thursday to enhance cooperation on improving employment prospects and providing technical support in Jordan. According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting was centered around discussing projects and programs that aim to boost job opportunities for Jordanians. Minister Bakkar emphasized the government's commitment to creating a conducive work environment and providing training and rehabilitation for young people to prepare them for the national economy. He expressed the ministry's eagerness to expand collaboration with the ILO. Ruba Jaradat provided insights into the activities of the ILO's regional office, reiterating the organization's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Jordanian ministry and the private sector. She highlighted the ILO's focus on promoting decent work conditions and mentioned plans to introduce ILO-supported programs to Jordan soon.
