Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has chaired a meeting where an agentic AI platform was used for the first time to support analysis-based discussion and data-driven decision making.
According to Emirates News Agency, the AI Committee System, an agentic AI platform, was employed to review several public projects and programmes aimed at enhancing efficiency in government performance and community service excellence. H.H. Sheikh Khaled directed the expansion of the Abu Dhabi Liveability Strategy, building on its Phase 1 achievements, which include the completion of over 60 major projects valued at more than AED12 billion. The broader approved programme is worth AED42 billion, with Abu Dhabi's District Completion Index rising from 67 percent to 84 percent in two years.
The second five-year phase of the Liveability Strategy aims to enhance the operational quality and efficiency of community facilities and services, improving the quality of life across the emirate. This phase adopts a predictive, data-driven approach to planning, directing government investment towards impactful priorities, strengthening public-private partnerships, and converting residential communities' needs into investment opportunities.
The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of the Al Ghad Nurseries project, which has enrolled 3,253 children to date, 80 percent of whom are children of working mothers. The project has contributed to strengthening Arabic language skills and addressing developmental and behavioural needs early. Sheikh Khaled approved the expansion of Al Ghad Nurseries, increasing their seating capacity from 3,000 to 12,000 seats by 2029, creating over 1,000 additional employment opportunities for Emirati women in early childhood.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled also approved launching the Abu Dhabi Programme for the Future of Reproductive Health, emphasizing investment in future generations' health and wellbeing. The programme, overseen by the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, aims to develop a comprehensive reproductive health ecosystem serving both men and women, with support and care throughout various stages, including genetic screening and fertility treatment. The programme targets increasing IVF success rates to 80 percent by 2030 through precision medicine, genomics, AI, and scientific research.
Sheikh Khaled reviewed updates on integrating AI education into private schools' curricula across the emirate, part of ongoing efforts to advance the education system. The initiative includes incorporating AI learning across the entire student journey, from kindergarten to Grade 12, building teacher capacity for meaningful AI integration in instructional practices.
The AI Committee System, used for the first time in the council's meeting, functions by analyzing proposals and topics ahead of the session, preparing executive summaries for agenda items. During meetings, it provides real-time insights, supports discussions, fact-checks information, and assists in proposing analysis-based recommendations, ensuring outputs remain traceable. The platform also aids in real-time follow-up on meeting proceedings, preparing analytical reports, and summarizing recommendations, simplifying follow-up, accelerating implementation, and clarifying responsibilities.
