Seoul: Korean stocks opened trading today at a new record high, surpassing the 7,700-point mark, supported by continued gains in major semiconductor shares. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) opened at a record 7,775.31 points, up 277.31 points, or 3.7 percent.
According to Emirates News Agency, shares of Micron Technology surged 15.49 percent, while semiconductor maker AMD rose 11.44 percent and Nvidia gained 1.75 percent.
