Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Armed Forces successfully intercepted 13 ballistic missiles and 17 drones early on Wednesday, responding to what has been identified as an Iranian attack targeting key civilian and vital facilities, including Kuwait International Airport. The incident resulted in the death of an Indian resident, several injuries, and significant material damage.
According to Emirates News Agency, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, the Official Spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence, stated during a media briefing that the interceptions occurred over several residential areas. These actions led to debris falling in some locations, causing additional concerns for civilian safety.
Brigadier Mohammed Al-Gharib, spokesperson for the General Fire Force, reported that his team responded to nine unusual incidents involving debris from the interception operations. These incidents included four fires and five cases requiring site readiness and coordination with relevant authorities to secure the affected locations.
