BEIRUT: The Lebanese Pharmacists' Syndicate, led by Dr. Joe Salloum, plans to meet with caretaker Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar to discuss support for displaced individuals and volunteer efforts by pharmacists in shelter centers. This meeting is part of broader efforts to address the needs of vulnerable populations in Lebanon. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dr. Salloum and a delegation from the syndicate will visit Minister Hajjar at 9:30 a.m. to coordinate on guidelines for assisting displaced persons. The syndicate aims to provide volunteer pharmacists to bolster services at shelter centers, enhancing the support framework for those affected by ongoing crises. Following this, at 10:30 a.m., Minister Hajjar will hold a press conference at the ministry's building in Badaro to discuss "emergency cash assistance for those not benefiting from the ministry's programs" and provide updates on other aid initiatives. This conference is expected to shed light on new measures to support citiz ens not currently covered by existing ministry programs, demonstrating the government's commitment to expanding its social safety net.
