Lower House Speaker: Jordan is State of Institutions, Law Holds Supreme

Amman: Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi emphasized on Wednesday that Jordan is a nation governed by institutions where the law holds ultimate authority, asserting that no entity exists beyond the power of the state, and its people remain united against actions threatening national security.

According to Emirates News Agency, Safadi highlighted that the Lower House fully backs the measures announced by the Minister of Interior to protect the Kingdom’s security and stability. These measures are in response to “suspicious attempts directed from abroad” aiming to destabilize the Kingdom and promote questionable schemes and agendas.

Safadi further expressed confidence in Jordan’s resilience, stating that despite facing challenges, these would only strengthen the nation’s resolve to continue building a strong, united internal front. He emphasized the importance of national unity in thwarting any attempts to compromise the country’s security and integrity.
