Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) have announced an enhancement in their collaboration, focusing on the electronic linkage of the Tax Dispute System. This initiative aims to streamline the processing of tax disputes, from their submission to the final decision-making by relevant committees, bolstering the efficiency and integration of electronic services within the tax system. According to Emirates News Agency, the reinforced partnership will enable the automatic exchange of information and expedite the decision-making process concerning tax disputes, adhering strictly to the nation's legislation. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Hammadi, a representative from the Ministry of Justice, highlighted that the UAE's tax system is committed to maintaining a balanced and fair approach, which is in line with international standards. He emphasized that this collaboration underpins the Ministry's dedication to aiding the business community in complying with tax laws and supports the judicial ecosystem's development, crucial for the national economy. Khaled Ali Al Bustani, the Director-General of the Federal Tax Authority, also expressed his views on the collaboration, stating, "Strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Justice reflects the excellent relations between the two sides as part of FTA's strategy to enhance its strategic partnerships with entities and organisations in both the public and private sectors that contribute to the sustainable development of the tax system." The collaboration is set to achieve several strategic objectives, including the establishment of an electronic linkage for data exchange through application programming interfaces, defining clear roles and tasks for business continuity, and ensuring the maintenance of updated, accurate data. Both parties have emphasized that this initiative will not only streamline and expedite tax-related processes but also align with their institutional and strategic needs to enhance capacity and improve customer satisfa ction.
