Abu dhabi: The Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher, part of the 'Erth Zayed Philanthropies' awards, in collaboration with the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE), has launched a new development initiative titled "Executive Educational Excellence Pioneers". This programme is designed to empower award-winning teachers, equipping them with advanced educational skills and practices to drive educational transformation.
According to Emirates News Agency, the programme welcomed a delegation of teachers from various countries to the UAE. The visit, starting in Abu Dhabi, was part of an intensive training program focusing on combining academic preparation with cultural experiences. It aims to enrich participants both professionally and personally.
During their stay, the teachers engaged in two days of specialised educational training, which included interactive sessions and advanced workshops. Additionally, cultural visits to the National Archives and Library and the Louvre Abu Dhabi offered insights into the UAE's rich cultural heritage, aligning with the award's educational philosophy of heritage, knowledge, and openness.
Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Darmaki, Secretary-General of the Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher, highlighted the programme's alignment with the UAE's leadership vision and its dedication to advancing education. He noted that the initiative aims to equip educators with the necessary skills to lead transformational change and develop sustainable educational solutions.
Dr. May Laith Al Taee, Vice Chancellor of the ECAE, underscored the programme's role in empowering educators with modern, technology-driven teaching practices. She emphasized the importance of fostering lifelong learning, creativity, and innovation among teachers to enhance their impact on school communities.
The four-month programme is structured into two phases, each focusing on developing specific professional competencies tailored to the needs of award-winning teachers. It seeks to transform the recognition of teaching excellence into a developmental platform that supports teachers in advancing education through practical approaches with tangible results.
