MoHRE Unveils Advanced AI-Based “Labour Market Simulation Model” at GITEX Global 2024

Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) introduced its groundbreaking "Labour Market Simulation Model" at this year's GITEX Global, taking a significant step in enhancing decision-making processes through the use of generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). The launch, which took place at the federal government's pavilion, drew significant attention from attendees interested in technological advancements in government services. According to Emirates News Agency, the Labour Market Simulation Model employs GenAI to allow users, including economists, policymakers, and ministry staff, to analyze labor market data under various scenarios. This innovative tool is designed to estimate the impacts of policy changes and trends on critical labor market metrics such as employment rates, wages, and workforce participation. The model operates with an interface similar to ChatGPT, making it accessible in both Arabic and English, thereby enhancing user interaction. Omran Al Shamsi, Director of L abour Market Information at MoHRE, emphasized the model's significance in the Ministry's digital transformation journey. "The Model enables our team to analyze and simulate labor market trends using generative AI. It offers interactive and user-friendly features that support the Ministry's decision-making processes with analytical insights based on real-time data," Al Shamsi said. He further noted that the model integrates AI into the decision-making processes related to labor markets, allowing for in-depth policy analysis and helping decision-makers predict the outcomes and impacts of these policies. The presence of the MoHRE at GITEX Global 2024 also highlighted various other initiatives aimed at embracing digital transformation and AI to enhance the Ministry's services, improve customer experience, and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
