Abu Dhabi:Oil prices increased significantly, with Brent crude futures closing at over $102 per barrel, following reports that the United States is deploying additional troops and another aircraft carrier to the Middle East. This move, along with China's decision to suspend oil product exports, has heightened concerns about potential global fuel shortages.
According to Emirates News Agency, the December Brent crude futures contract settled at $102.31 a barrel, marking an increase of $4.28 or 4.37 percent. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate crude futures closed at $92.87 a barrel, rising by $2.45 or 2.71 percent.
These developments in the Middle East and China's export suspension have significantly impacted global oil prices, reflecting market anxieties over supply disruptions.
