Abu dhabi: Speaking at the BRIDGE Summit 2025, the world’s largest debut media event, actor and producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas inspired attendees with her message of breaking free from constraints and embracing change. She emphasized the importance of adaptability and evolution in both personal and professional spheres, encouraging the audience to “get out of the box.”
According to Emirates News Agency, during the session titled ‘Mastering Your Craft in a World Obsessed with More,’ Priyanka shared insights from her career journey, highlighting that many of her pivotal career decisions were driven by circumstances rather than choice. She recounted a period in the early 2000s when she faced a string of unsuccessful films, leading her to take on the female-led movie ‘Fashion,’ a decision that proved to be a significant turning point in her career.
Priyanka also reflected on her cross-Atlantic career journey and how it was influenced by a mix of destiny and hard work. She shared that moving into music in America was not initially a planned endeavor but arose from a desire to try something different. This adaptability, she noted, has been crucial in navigating her varied career.
Addressing whether she has become more selective in her career choices, Priyanka revealed that in her early days, she accepted every opportunity due to the competitive nature of the industry. This relentless work ethic, she explained, was necessary at the time, even at the cost of personal sacrifices. However, she now appreciates the freedom to choose projects that align with her current priorities.
Discussing the pressures of social media, Priyanka advised against giving undue importance to online comments, emphasizing that fleeting online interactions should not dictate one’s sense of self-worth.
Priyanka concluded her session by highlighting her greatest accomplishment-creating a happy and secure home for her family. She stressed the importance of maintaining family and personal sanity as foundational elements for resilience in the face of external challenges.
Her talk was part of a comprehensive program of over 300 sessions at the BRIDGE Summit, which runs from December 8-10, 2025, at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.
