Doha: The Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar has announced the death of H.H. the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on Sunday morning, July 12, 2026, at the age of 74.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Amiri Diwan released a statement through Qatar News Agency (QNA) expressing condolences and honoring the achievements of the late Sheikh Hamad. The statement read, "May Allah have mercy on his soul and grant him the best reward for what he achieved for his homeland and nation."
