Beirut: A Russian EMERCOM Il-76 aircraft loaded with humanitarian aid is set to land at Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport on October 24 at 8:25 AM local time, as announced by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Lebanon. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the aircraft will carry essential medical supplies and emergency relief kits, and is scheduled to remain at the airport until 12:00 PM before its departure. In preparation for this arrival, the Russian government has sought the cooperation of Lebanese authorities to ensure smooth processing, including customs exemptions and the arrangement of a protocol event. Lebanese and international media outlets have been invited to document the delivery of these humanitarian supplies. Additionally, the flight will serve a dual purpose by evacuating approximately 100 Russian nationals, predominately women and children, back to their home country. This initiative highlights the ongoing diplomatic and humanitarian efforts between Russia and Leban on, strengthening the ties between the two nations amidst global calls for increased humanitarian assistance.
