SEHA’s Al Dhafra Centre Achieves AHA Hypertension Certification

Abu Dhabi:Al Dhafra: SEHA's Al Dhafra Family Medicine Centre has been awarded the American Heart Association's Hypertension Practice Centre Certification, signifying its structured, evidence-based approach to hypertension care. SEHA is a subsidiary of PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East.

According to Emirates News Agency, this certification highlights the centre's commitment to improving hypertension management through early diagnosis and consistent care, reducing cardiovascular risk in the Al Dhafra Region. The centre implements a comprehensive care model that includes ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, patient education, multidisciplinary follow-up, and continuous quality improvement.

Hamad Khamis Al Mansoori, CEO of SEHA Al Dhafra Hospitals, emphasized that the certification reassures patients and families in Al Dhafra of the centre's structured approach to hypertension care, which focuses on early detection and informed self-management. This enhances the centres ability to manage cardiovascular risk and improve long-term community health.

Dr. Mariam Rashed Al Mehairbi, Chief Medical Officer of SEHA Al Dhafra Hospitals, acknowledged the effort by clinical and operational teams to align hypertension care with international standards, marking a significant milestone for the centre and the community.

Dr. Fawaz Jasim Mohammed, Consultant Family Medicine and Team Lead at the centre, noted that the approach combines accurate diagnosis and structured monitoring with patient education and multidisciplinary support to help patients manage their blood pressure effectively.

This achievement is part of SEHA's broader mission to enhance chronic disease prevention and management, aligning with internationally recognized care standards across Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
