Sharjah Broadcasting Authority Explores Global Partnerships at MIPCOM 2024 in Cannes

CANNES: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) is actively seeking international collaboration opportunities at "MIPCOM 2024," a prestigious global exhibition for entertainment and television content held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. The event, which runs until October 24, features participation from over 100 countries and serves as a crucial platform for the SBA to expand its international presence and showcase its diverse array of productions. According to Emirates News Agency, the SBA delegation has engaged in a series of strategic meetings with prominent representatives from television channels and global production companies. These discussions focus on potential collaborations in co-production and acquiring rights for new programs and series, aiming to enrich the content available through the authority's various channels. The SBA also presented detailed exhibitions of its diverse and high-quality programming. Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the SBA, emphasized the importance of MI PCOM as a venue for networking with leading content producers worldwide. "Our goal for this participation is to promote our cultural, heritage, and entertainment programs and to seek new works to add to our programming network, meeting the aspirations of our audience in the UAE and beyond," he said. Al Ghaithi further stated the authority's commitment to forming robust partnerships with leading global companies in the media sector, underscoring its dedication to providing innovative content that resonates with viewers and strengthens its standing in the media landscape at both Arab and international levels.
